Peoria Area Voices for Animals is a local, informal group for anyone interested in animal rights, vegetarianism, or veganism in the Peoria, Illinois, area. Through peaceful activism (demonstrations, leafleting, letter writing, speaking out on behalf of animals, and participation in local events such as Earth Day, Meet-Out, etc.), we work to:
1)Educate people about the tremendous suffering to animals caused by the decisions people make every day; and
2)Educate and inspire people to take action to reduce animal suffering.
We promote peace and compassion for all living beings, and it is our goal that animals be recognized as living beings that have inalienable rights to live a natural life free of harm at the hands of humans.
We also hold monthly vegan potlucks where we share delicious food, discuss books, watch movies, and socialize.
