We
have monthly vegan potlucks where we socialize, share information, and
get to sample lots of delicious vegan food. The potlucks are normally
held on the last Saturday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
We also
hold peaceful leafleting demonstrations to promote veganism, educate
the public about the horrific treatment of animals on farms and
in slaughterhouses, and protest the animal cruelty practiced by the fur
industry, animal "entertainment" industries, etc. Signs are always
provided or you can bring your own if you prefer. The monthly
demonstrations are normally held on the first Saturday of each month
from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the corner of Main and University in Peoria.
